Abstract :

The causes and impacts of climate change have become more and more complex and complicated issues to challenge ESG policy makings since the Paris Accord was initiated. On the one hand, it seems that extreme natural disasters have emerged in higher and higher frequencies; on the other hand, international populism/protectionism and misinformation on social medias have emerged as a formidable force to generate a geopolitical perfect storm which could deteriorate the current global climate accords in the era of Trumpism. To prevent the climate system and the global economy from co-developing a dual crisis 

the climate-economy system  … chaos … on the brink of catastrophe.
